Commission a portrait
Commissioning a portrait is a simple process which Danny will guide you through along the way. The basic steps for ordering a portrait are as follows:

Select the photo or photos that you would like Danny to use to create your portrait. Take care in selecting the photos. The images need to be clear and sharp, and should be 'close up' to best exhibit the subject's features. If your portrait will have more than one subject and you are using more than one photo, make sure that the proportions of the subject in each photo are relatively similar.

Email the photos to danny@danmaloney.com.au.

Danny will contact you with a quote and completion date.

You confirm that you wish to proceed, and pay a 25% non-refundable deposit.

When the portrait is completed, Danny will email a photo of the painted portrait to you. You then approve the painting and pay the balance, or advise Danny of any modifications you would like him to make. Danny will then make those changes and provide you with another photograph for approval and final payment.

Upon receipt of your approval and final payment, your portrait will be posted to you. (Please note that unless you advise otherwise, Danny will paint your portrait on canvas which will be rolled and sent to you. Paintings can be framed prior to delivery by negotiation.)
Commission a painting
Contact Danny with your requirements and he will discuss size, medium and pricing with you. As with portraits, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required prior to commencement of work on your painting. Upon completion, Danny will provide you with a photograph of the finished work for your approval and final payment. Alternatively, Danny will make any changes you would like him to make and provide a further photograph for approval and final payment. Your painting will be posted to you upon receipt of your final payment.
Commission illustrations or cartoons
Contact Danny with a short description of your requirements and he will contact you by phone or email to discuss your brief in full. Depending on the nature of your brief, Danny will also discuss with you your required timeframes and completion dates. He will then provide you with a written quote for the work he is to undertake and a completion date. Progress reports will be provided along the way if required.

Prices for illustrations, cartoons and caricatures start from $150.00 for A4 size and $200.00 for A3 size (single subjects). Email Danny with your requirements and he will provide you with a quote.
Paying for artwork
You can pay your deposit and final payment by cheque, credit card or direct deposit. Please indicate your preference when making your order, and we will provide you with the details you need to make your payment.
